I got a nasty note from TypePad. Well, not that nasty, but it basically said pay up or we’ll close your account. At first I thought, “I have an account there?!” and then realized oh yeah, of course I do. But not for long, I guess. Probably my credit card on file expired, or something, but I’m certainly not using it enough to pay $9 a month. So I figured I’d export all my posts and see if I couldn’t find some blog software I could host, that I liked. Of course exporting your posts they support, but to a format they invented for MovableType… funky. Ah well, after a quick look at the WordPress faq I realized there is a import-mt.php script. One line of edits, run it, et voila! Impressive.
